Division Problems

Here are some great examples of division in action.  Remember, show your work (in more than one way) AND explain what happens with the remainder in your statement. 

Problem: Katerina shares 76 plums with 9 friends. She doesn’t keep any. How many does each friend get?

 Check out this attempt by some students to split the remainder into smaller pieces. We’ll try this out some more tomorrow.
